Our mission: To help burnt children in Brazil.The idea:
Founder Martin Kaupp is the creator of the glorious idea of “Beauty Helps”. The combination of people coming to Rio de Janeiro for plastic surgery and helping the same time unfortunate children from Brazil which have been burnt in an unfortunate accident.This a great way to give back to society and let beauty help in both ways.
How we work:
Tissue expanders are temporary silicone balloons of different shapes that are placed surgically under the patients skin and that gradually are filled up with saline solution over a period of a few weeks. The goal is to expand healthy skin adjacent to an area of burnt tissue and replace it.
- Doctor interviews child from a very long list of children in need of immediate surgery
- Arrangements are made with a Hospital for operation
- Hospital will guarantee the lowest cost
- Beauty Helps organizes the schedule for the patient
- Sponsors can pay expenses directly to the hospital
- Surgeons will volunteer their time
- Beauty Helps will follow up with patient’s appointment
